Introduction

Safety in the food industry mainly consist of two interfaces: (1) Between industry and the market AND (2) Between market and the consumer

However, there remains overlapping parts in the two interface which is our food defence. The key is to prevent food borne illness being passed to the final consumers. For the interface between the industry and the market, they are very much concerned with the origins of raw materials, chemical and pesticides level, food hygiene, food labelling and food storage. The market and the consumer will need to particularly make sure the food handling, food preparation and food storage are safe.

♣  Food Hygiene Inspection on food establishments. An audit report shall be generated at the end of inspection which evaluate the legislation compliance set by local authorities. We provide advice on critical hazards and opportunities for improvement.

♣  Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points Food Safety Management System (HACCP) is applicable to all food business, include food manufacturing, food preparation process and food storage. We will assist our Clients to achieve HACCP standard which consist of 7 principles. The aim is to reduce or eliminate food hazards prior delivery of end products to consumers. 

♣  Halal Certification will allow food industries wanting to expand and release their products for Muslim consumers. There are 7 types of Halal Certification Schemes offered by MUIS, we will advise Clients on the right scheme and provide support to implement the 10 HalMQ principles for getting Halal Certification.

♣  SS 590 Food Safety Management System is a Singapore recognised standard and is a simplified adoption of the ISO 22000 standard which lays out the basic framework and food safety requirements.  Our consultants will help prepare and equip Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Clients to meet the SS 590 requirements in order to comply with the regulatory requirement. This will enable the SME to explore new market possibilities.

♣  ISO 22000 Integrated Food Safety Management System is an internationally recognised standard which specifies the food safety requirements and mainly focuses on the principles between HACCP and prerequisite programme (PRPs). The objective is to consistently provide safe food products or services throughout the food chain, regardless of size, type and structure of an organisation. Our consultants provide consultancy & training solutions to support our Clients to develop and implement the ISO22000 standards and achieve certification.

♣  FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) Food Safety Management System utilises ISO 22000 for (Management System Requirements) and ISO Technical Standards (for Prerequisite Program Requirements). Our consultants will be able to support the different food industries with different Prerequisite Program Requirements. This include food processing, catering, farming and food packaging manufacturing.
