Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) is a semi-quantitative risk assessment method used in process safety to evaluate and mitigate hazards. It bridges the gap between qualitative hazard studies (e.g., HAZOP) and detailed quantitative risk assessments (QRA).

This training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of LOPA methodologies to evaluate and mitigate process safety hazards.

Participants will learn to conduct LOPA studies, determine risk reduction needs, and apply industry best practices. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, attendees will gain practical experience in using LOPA to enhance safety decision-making.
