WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Senior management or any staff who are appointment holders of the role of SMC or SIC in the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) who are involved in the management of incidents in the company during an emergency

This course covers the skills and knowledge required by the person in charge of a facility to implement the incident management process during an emergency incident in a processing facility. This unit covers the approach, structure, tools, processes, communication methods that can be utilised during an emergency incident.

This course is a mandatory requirement for management, executive and professionals who are appointed as Site Main Controller (SMC) and Site Incident Controller (SIC) for the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an award of WSQ Statement of Attainment.

Pre-Requisites

• Supervisor Level or Managerial Level (with min. O level or SSLC)
• Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 5
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) Level 5

Assumed Skills and Knowledge
• Possess good knowledge in relevant organisational emergency response plans, procedures, policies and processes
• Possess good knowledge in emergency response concepts
• Possess related training or work experience in a process plant
• Be able to gather information and compile necessary data
• Possess basic knowledge in decision making processes and models
• Have communication skills using various methods and techniques

Assessment & Certification

1-hour Written Assessment. It consists of 30 multiple choice questions and a case study.

Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued to participant who attends the course and attains COMPETENT for the assessments.
